This printable guide gives a simple overview of what to check before and after your hospital bed arrives.
Before Delivery
- Measure doorways, hallways, stair turns, and the bedroom space.
- Clear a path from the entrance to the room.
- Choose a grounded outlet near the bed location.
- Plan for two adults to help with setup.
During Setup
- Place the bed on a flat, stable surface.
- Lock caster wheels before use.
- Confirm rails, mattress, remote, and accessories are secure.
- Test head, foot, and height adjustment before the patient uses the bed.
